“Taste of the Bay”: Bay Area bike rental startup, Lake Cabin, raises $50M in Series B
Lake Cabin announced the latest round of financing and raised $50 million in Series A funding from Accel Partners, Benchmark Capital, FirstMark Ventures, and the California Bicycle Coalition.
Lake Cabin’s mission is to make it easier to live in a bike-friendly Bay Area, offering its users the tools they need to take care of their bike and stay active.
With Lake Cabin bikes and rentals, customers can pick from a variety of different styles, from gravel bikes to commuter bikes and more.
The company’s bikes can be purchased online and at bike shops and rental shops, and they are available in different price points, such as $200 for the bike for an hour, and $400 for a week.
The bikes are available with a range of styles from the classic commuter, to the more modern mountain bike, and even the bike that looks like a car.
The Lake Cabin fleet is currently limited to only a few locations, but the company hopes to expand its network.
